TELEVISION, TELEPHONE, and INTERNET SERVICE
Ark House provides basic cable television service. Upgraded television services cannot be added by either Ark House or the resident.
|All Ark House apartments are being upgraded to a Samsung Smart televion in 2022. The cable box will be eliminated, but you still will have a modem.|
IF you have problems with the Cable TV, please attempt to reset the modem using the instructions in the Chapter 7 of this notebook.
Residents should never contact the service provider directly. For problems with the TV call Resident Services to report TV issues.
The Ark House apartments do not have telephones. If phone service is needed, pre-paid cell phone service may be purchased at many local grocery stores, Walmart, Target, etc. Land-line telephone service cannot be added to the apartments by Ark House or by residents.
INTERNET (and MOBILE PHONE) SERVICE
Ark House does not provide internet service to the apartments.
Residents wishing to have internet service are encouraged to use the internet available in the Seville Apartment Business Center across from the office.
Residents wanting internet service in their apartment may investigate services such as prepaid Hotspot service available through most cell phone providers. Prepaid hotspot service can be purchased from a provider even if you have cell phone service from another provider. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon mobile phone providers offer prepaid hotspot service under various brand names. See the map below showing the location of and directions to hotspot providers.

TV Digital Tuning Adapter and Cable Box Reset Guide
A digital tuning adapter or cable box is required to receive a TV signal. Occasionally, these devices go offline and will need to be rebooted. The graphics below will help you to identify which device is in your apartment.
Digital Tuning Adapter (DTA) (For apartments without a Samsung Smart TV)
Problem: Green light on the front of the adapter is blinking.
Try this… Unplug the DTA power, plug it back in after waiting a minute and wait five minutes for it to reset (steady green light).
Cable Box (For apartments without a Samsung Smart TV)
Note: Not all cable boxes are the same type. Some are vertical and others flat.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the cable box or the electrical outlet it is plugged into.
- Wait 2 minutes and restore power.
- Or, push the power/reboot button on the front and wait (may take 5 minutes or more).
This device is no longer used, but has not been removed by Spectrum. Resetting it will not restore the TV signal.
